WILLIAMSBURG,
VIRGINIA
"A Taste of Colonial Hospitality"
October 7th -thru- 10th, 2010

2010 Annual Gathering coming soon 2010 Annual Gathering coming soon

OVERVIEW OF ACTIVITIES:
We look forward to hosting the Munros in America's Historic Triangle, starting in Williamsburg, Virginia's colonial capitol. Faithfully preserved and restored, the historic area is now a town-sized museum, a living history experience. You can just picture the founding fathers striving to govern a colony on the verge of independence. Plan to come take a step into the past with your fellow clansmen and women! Activities planned for the 2010 Gathering include a tour of reconstructed and restored buildings on the 301-acre historical area, and more than 500 buildings, some original 18th century structures; a lively interplay from an expert on James Monroe and his involment at the College of William & Mary; authentic colonial fare at candlelit taverns, chances to shop, visit museums, and of course, the annual Banquet Saturday night; and the Kirkin O' the Tartan on Sunday morning. Attendees have several choices of airports: Dulles or Reagan in D.C., RIC in Richmond, Patrick Henry in Newport News (probably the closest), or Norfolk International. Check in starts on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010 at the Williamsburg Hospitality House. The hospitality suite will be open all day to relax and catch up with old and new friends! The Board will meet on Thursday morning. In the evening, the current Board of Directors will meet for dinner. Others can choose from the various eateries in the Williamsburg area, many within walking distance from the Hospitality House. The hospitality room will also be open with light refreshments.

MORE DETAILS...
The annual meeting will begin on Friday morning at 9:30 and will be followed by a buffet luncheon. Friday afternoon activities are planned around the College of William and Mary, right across the street, other nearby historic sites and shopping in the historic district. Groups may venture out for dinner together or eat at the hotel. (there is an awesome Scottish pub next door!) On Saturday, after a delicious breakfast at our hotel, clan members will board buses to the historic area of Colonial Williamsburg to experience America's beginnings. We will explore gardens, trade shops, homes and government buildings throughout the historic area. Colonial Williamsburg offers us the largest live interactive history museum in America. Upon returning to the Williamsburg Hospitality House, we will have our annual banquet and ceremonies together with the gathered clan. Sunday morning we will once again worship together at the annual Kirkin O' the Tartan at the Williamsburg Presbyterian Church, then the 2010 Gathering will come to a close. Don't miss our annual gathering this year in beautiful Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia! It will be a history lesson you won't forget!
