  In 1870, William is found on the Newton County, Mississippi census in the household of his older sister, Sarah. In 1872, he moved with Sarah's family to Texas where he settled with them near Canton, Texas. He is not found on the 1900 Van Zandt County, Texas census with Elizabeth and the children.
