Clan Munro USA supports the Scottish Arts with scholarships for students of highland
dancing, piping, drumming, and fiddling. Students must be 18 years old or younger with a
minimum of two years of experience in their field of study. The number of scholarships
offered each year varies. In 2015, 21 scholarships of $250 USD each were awarded.
Through the years, recipients have represented all regions of the United States, and a
few have been from Canada. Most scholarship funds have been used for extra lessons and
workshops. Many of these recipients have continued their studies and have become teachers, helping new generations of students to learn about the Scottish cultural arts.
